Council of Department Chairs
  1. Approved agenda (10:00)
  2. Minutes discussion - Approved Feb. 12th minutes to our next meeting. Rick will send those out.
  3. Announcements - CNSM dates added (see below)
    1. Operations updates - none.
      1. Commencement updates -- Commencement regalia due on or before March 22nd. Margaret needs our final logo decision for our banners before Tuesday, March 12th (college council will review).
    2. ASM updates - see SEF
    3. Dean update - skipped
    4. Faculty Senate Report - skipped
  4. Associate Deans- see HVDI and IIRMES SEF discussion
  5. Research - University achievement awards for faculty and students - only three nominations for undergraduate research from the entire university. There were very few faculty mentor  nominations. All of our departments should try to submit for faculty awards. We need to pay attention as to how these are different applications.
  6. Undergraduate - after SEF/HVDI discussion if time SEF.
  7. HVDI - physics should be changed to CNSM in row 4. Kris explained the funding for row 4 is provided under tutoring. In parenthesis, Kris will list six sections to the end. All approved HDVI lists as stated.
  8. SEF - Discussion took place to prioritize requests for all departments and IIRMES (SEF designated and competitive). This fall, we should have conversations about prioritization on our SEF lists. Next year (for funding in 2020-2021), the spectrophotometer and rolltop roof will have prioritization in SEF.
  9. Adjourn
