Interested in a career in public service?
The Career Development Center and the Division of University Relations & Development invite you to attend Alumni Insights: Pathways to Public Service on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. at the Anna W. Ngai Alumni Center on campus.
This engaging event will feature CSULB alumni who have built impactful careers in government, public policy, and community leadership. The panel discussion will take place from 12:00–1:00 p.m., followed by networking and pizza from 1:00–2:00 p.m.
Featured CSULB Alumni Speakers:
- Gustavo Medrano – Budget Analyst for the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office with experience in state legislative and fiscal policy.
- Victor Sanchez – Mayor Pro Tem of Bellflower and regional policy leader advancing housing and local governance solutions.
- Christina Byrne – Business Development Director at HNTB, with over 25 years of experience in public engagement, government relations, and transportation initiatives.
- Amanda Stayton – President of Stayton Solutions, LLC, supporting public and nonprofit organizations in strategy and leadership development.
Panelists will share practical advice on launching a career in public service, developing professional competencies, and leveraging university and community networks to create impact.
This event is free and includes lunch, but space is limited.
