2nd Place at the 2020 CFAOC RFP Competition

In the winter of 2020, our team placed 2nd in the Annual CFAOC RFP Competition! This earned CSULB BIG the right to manage the 2nd largest of the CFAOC SMIF Portfolios for the 2021 calendar year.

As part of the process to achieve this accomplishment, our team constructed a 50-page Request for Proposal document, submitted a 15-minute recorded presentation, and participated in a live Q&A session with members of the CFA Society Orange County (CFAOC) board.

We competed with 6 other universities and, we’re proud to place 2nd in the competition. Our students learned so much and took away many lessons from the entire experience. We want to highlight those who headed the RFP document construction and editing... Raymond Luu and Danyelle Samudio. We also want to recognize our presenters of the recorded presentation and who also participated in the Q&A... Anastasia Franio, William Herrera, Jeffrey Cosgrove, Chase Anthony Markham, and Danyelle Samudio.

We also want to thank our CFAOC rep that helped us along the way... Donny LoPiccolo, CFA!
