Newly Admitted Students

Congratulations and welcome to CSULB!  You have an exciting journey ahead of you and we want to make sure that you are well prepared to get started in pursuing your academic goals. If you are coming to CSULB as a freshmen, transfer, credential or a graduate student, there are still a few steps you need to take to make sure you successfully transition to the Beach!  Get acquainted with the appropriate section of this website to find out what you need to do before the semester begins.

Schedule of Classes

By selecting the appropriate term, you can view the regular session course schedule. You can view the offerings by Academic Subject, by College, or by General Education Category by using the buttons at the top of each page. The lists are updated regularly to reflect changes.

Registration Information

Each semester you will receive a registration appointment via email, where you can register for your courses through the MyCSULB Student Center. It is imperative that you utilize your CSULB email address listed in your student center account in order to receive your appointment.  

Your registration appointment will announce the day and time of when you can register for classes.

Financial Aid

The mission of the Office of Financial Aid is to increase opportunities for student access to and success in higher education by helping students and their families seek, obtain, and make the best use of all financial resources. Through financial literacy and guidance, we support incoming students in making a successful transition to the Beach.

Activate Your CSULB Email Address

CSULB students are required to maintain a CSULB email address on file with the university and to check their email regularly as the university uses email as the official means of communication.  Activate your Beach Mail here.



All incoming CSULB students are required to complete a series of mandatory immunizations prior to registration. To learn more about this requirement, please visit our Student Health Services website for more information.
