Turnitin is an application in Canvas that compares assignments submitted by students against billions of other documents on the internet to check for originality. When similarities are found, Turnitin highlights them, and provides an annotated "Similarity Report."
In this workshop, we'll review the latest updates to Turnitin’s AI Indicator including improved detection capabilities and the Similarity Report. We'll also demonstrate the AI Indicator in action, discuss how to integrate or mitigate student usage of ChatGPT, and share examples of policies and best practices.
