Meet the Team

The METRIC team comprises of four discipline faculty mentors, one research director, and one career development coordinator.

Faculty Mentors

The faculty mentors' primary responsibilities are to:

  • Recruit METRIC students in Chemistry, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics.
  • Suggest and organize events.
  • Guide and support METRIC students in reaching their highest scholastic potentials.
  • Act as a bridge between university/academic resources and the METRIC students.
  • Facilitate METRIC students in making critical decisions whenever needed.

The research director's primary responsibilities are to:

  • Assist with the management of the program.
  • Assist with the recruitment of students.
  • Maintain compliance with IRB.
  • Work with program evaluators to collect data.
  • Disseminate project outcomes.

Career Development Coordinator

The career development coordinator's primary responsibilities are to:

  • Work with the Career Development Center to identify relevant events for METRIC students.
  • Connect with local schools/agencies to identify opportunities for service learning.
  • Facilitate workshops and presentations.
  • Provide additional individual mentorship for all METRIC students with mid and end of the semester check-ins.
