Hours of Operation
Our 2025-2026 academic year has come to a close. For Summer 2026, visits to the SLC must be coordinated via email. Please message science.center@csulb.edu with your request. Reservations are required for all school field trips to the Science Learning Center.

- Tuesday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm
The center is closed Saturday-Monday.
We welcome CSULB faculty, staff and students to come visit to see what we are about! Large groups should contact us in advance to make an appointment.
Hands-On Science Learning
The Science Learning Center (SLC) provides unique learning experiences for elementary and middle school aged students in local communities, as well as the students of CSULB, through exhibits and activities that encourage questioning and hands-on investigation.
Through both on-site and outreach programs, the Center seeks to support STEM awareness and interest, to inform and support local science education and provide an avenue to showcase research in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics to new audiences.
