Beach Bytes Teaching Exchange

The Beach Bytes Faculty Showcase is back under a new name: the Beach Bytes Teaching Exchange! This virtual event will feature 40-minute mini sessions about various teaching, learning, technology, and well-being topics led by YOU, the amazing instructors of CSULB! 

  • Is there a teaching strategy that has worked well for engaging students?
  • Is there a tech tool that you’ve found useful for teaching and learning?
  • Are there practices that you’ve found helpful for managing the demands of teaching and maintaining your personal well-being? 

If so, consider submitting a proposal for an opportunity to share your great ideas with colleagues! All speakers will receive a certificate of recognition, celebrating their contribution to the event.

Important Dates

  • August 31, 2026: Call for proposals opens.  
  • September 21, 2026: Proposals due by 11:45pm
  • Around September 28, 2026: Notifications regarding proposal status will be sent out
  • Around October 12, 2026: Event schedule will be posted on this webpage
  • November 13, 2026: Beach Bytes Teaching Exchange begins!

NOTE:  This is a virtual event that will be held via Zoom. The event will NOT be recorded, so plan to join us live.
