Advising for New Students

New Freshmen and Transfer Students

All first-semester freshmen are required to complete the Online Pre-SOAR Program, Online Academic & Registration Course, AND participate in a Zoom SOAR Virtual Workshop. Your College Advising Center will communicate the date and process for online academic advising and class registration via email prior to the SOAR workshop. View SOAR Information for Freshman for additional information. Undeclared freshmen will receive course recommendations and be eligible to register one week prior to their Zoom SOAR Virtual Workshop.

Student-athletes

NCAA student-athletes will be assisted by the Bickerstaff Academic Center for Student-Athlete Services.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Students

New EOP students will be assisted by the Educational Opportunity Program.

International Students

Incoming international students will be advised by the Center for International Education.

Students not yet admitted to CSULB
