Parking Instructions for Newly Admitted Students

Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment in order to find parking and locate the Center. The University Center for Undergraduate Advising is in the Shakarian Student Success Center, Room 140.

Due to space limitations in the Center, third parties (family members, friends, etc.) may not accompany students during the SOAR Advising & Registration appointment. Students with disabilities who require accomodations should contact bmac@csulb.edu.

Parking

You may park in the Foundation parking lot off of Palo Verde Avenue. The daily permit rate is $10. Please note that there is no on-site attendant available after 12pm, therefore you will need a credit or debit card to enter the lot.

From the Foundation lot, walk up the hill and make a right just past the Microbiology building (look for “Microbiology” on the side of the building in large white letters). Follow signs for the Shakarian Student Success Center main entrance.

Public Transportation

Long Beach Transit routes 91, 92, 93, 94, 121, and 171 stop on West Campus Drive. From the bus stop, walk between the Liberal Arts buildings toward the grassy quad and make a left. Continue past the quad and the Student Success Center will be on your right.

Orange County Transit routes 50, 60, and 560 stop on 7th Street. From the bus stop, cross the parking lot toward the grassy quad. Continue past the quad and the Student Success Center will be on your right.

Accessible Parking

Vehicles displaying a disabled placard may pick up a parking permit free of charge from the Visitor
Information Center off of Bellflower Boulevard. From the Visitor Center, continue down Beach Drive which will veer to the right and turn into West Campus Drive. Immediately after passing Lot E9, make a left onto South Campus Drive. At the T-intersection, make a left onto East Campus Drive. Park in Lot E7 which will be on your left. You may park in any of the disabled or short-term parking spaces. Unmarked spaces are reserved for university employees.
