CSULB Single Sign-On Changes on June 1

Dear Students and Colleagues,

As a follow-up to the May 4 announcement, we’d like to remind you about the upcoming transition of our CSULB Single Sign-On (SSO) services to Microsoft My Apps on June 1.

Once again, the notable enhancements and changes to SSO include:

  • A simplified Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) process: MFA services will be required each time you log in to SSO, and you will no longer be required to MFA for individual applications (“tiles”).  For your protection, however, Common Management Services such as Student Center, Employee Center, Faculty Center, and HR applications will require you to re-authenticate with MFA if you select one of these services in SSO and haven’t been prompted for MFA within 60 minutes.
    • Employees, please note: If you currently use Duo MFA for CMS Finance, this will remain in place until further notice.
  • A new CSULB-branded Microsoft My Apps SSO login page
  • A new streamlined look and customization: The SSO tiles will display in alphabetical order, and by default, you will have two tabs for accessing either “All Apps” or “CSULB”-specific Apps.  Additionally, you can create your own tabs to further group your tiles to your preference.

Please read our Microsoft My Apps SSO article for more details and an early preview.
