Master of Science: Chemical Engineering

From cosmetics to plastics, potato chips to microelectronic chips, and energy to environment, chemical engineers work on processes that responsibly convert raw materials into useful products. Tailored to working professionals with evening classes, CSULB’s Master of Science in Chemical Engineering program helps practicing engineers increase their job competence or prepare for further advanced study. Students can complete their Master of Science degree with a thesis or comprehensive exam.

About the Program

The Master of Science in Chemical Engineering degree program at CSULB requires completion of 30 units of graduate courses, as specified below. Each student must satisfy all the requirements of the University, College, and Department. The MSChE program aims at educating and training multidisciplinary professionals in order to provide them with the needed expertise for advanced technical activities in Chemical Engineering and any relevant areas of engineering and sciences. A limited number of teaching or research assistant positions are available.
