Many students undertake their graduate studies, the MBA in particular, without knowing exactly where they want that degree to take them afterward. Graduate Career Services is here to help you decide on a career direction and to coach you through your internship or job search. We work with you beginning in Orientation and following up in one-on-one career coaching sessions to help you gain insight into your own interests, skills, and motivations and to identify the career direction that could be a good fit for you. We guide you through an exploration of career and employer options and help you identify entry points, and internship or employment opportunities in your field.

Graduates of CSULB’s Graduate Business programs hold positions in every Business discipline across a wide range of industries throughout California, the US, and globally.

Earning a graduate Business degree will almost always increase your value and career potential. However, specific employment and compensation upon graduation will vary according to your job, industry, and geographic location.

Your professional experience prior to earning a Graduate Business degree will be a significant factor in your prospects for employment and compensation once you have completed the degree. If you do not already have professional experience in your chosen field, gaining experience through a graduate-level internship is highly advised.
