Biketrains
A Biketrain operates on a regular route, on a regular schedule – like a public bus line. They even have conductors – experienced riders who lead the group at a slow and easy pace. A Biketrain isn’t a race, and no one is ever left behind at a light.
When riding with a Biketrain, anyone that is uncomfortable riding on the street gets personal instruction and encouragement, while regular bike commuters gain motivation and a fun group of people to ride with.
Woodruff Route
The Woodruff Route runs from Long Beach City College to CSULB every Tuesday. It uses the Carson St Bikepath and Woodruff Ave. It departs from the corner of Carson St and Lakewood Blvd at 8:20 AM and arrives to CSULB at 8:50 AM. In the evening the Biketrain departs from Friendship Walk at 5:10 PM.

Bike Buddy
A Bike Buddy is someone who has some experience commuting by bike to school, and who is happy to show a new rider the way. Like any buddy, meeting a Bike Buddy is easy. You meet at an arranged spot near your house, and then you ride together to campus.
A bike buddy is not a workout partner, though. Bike Buddies will always travel at your pace, and our Bike Buddies have volunteered because they want to help less experienced riders find fun, healthy, and more sustainable ways to get to campus.
