CSULB Email & Office 365 Enhancement

Dear Colleagues,

As part of our continuous efforts to improve our technology services, we will integrate our students' BeachMail (@student.csulb.edu) accounts with our CSULB employee (@csulb.edu) email system. The email integration will begin at 6 a.m., Friday, July 3, and is planned to conclude by 6 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2020.

During the migration, students will not have access to their CSULB Office 365 resources, including their BeachMail accounts and contents, their campus OneDrive files and folders, and all other related Office 365 applications. Students are receiving detailed information about the migration.

The primary objective of this email migration is to make it easier for faculty and students to collaborate on instructional projects. Some of the benefits include:

  • Easy file-sharing and collaboration among CSULB students, faculty, and staff with Office 365 applications such as Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint;
  • A unified campus-wide email and global address system to enable students, faculty, and staff to communicate more efficiently and work more collaboratively;
  • A single calendaring tool that makes it easier for the campus community to schedule meetings and book conference rooms.

To minimize the impact to students, this migration will not change campus email addresses or BeachID credentials (campus IDs and passwords). All CSULB email users will continue to use their current campus ID and password after the email migration.

If you need further information or have questions, please contact the Technology Help Desk at (562) 985-4959.

Stay safe and well.
