2022 Spring Mixer

Published April 11, 2022

The 2022 Spring Mixer took place on April 9 in Rush Park near campus in the form of a potluck. In total, 24 people were in attendance including one former scholarship student, 10 current METRIC students, five significant others, and eight program personnel.

The organized activities included toilet paper race, water balloon toss, and painting and planting tiny succulent pots. Even the youngest participant (Dr. Chang's 2-year-old son) had a blast with the games and the food. This was a much-needed social event to reconnect students with each other and the weather was just perfect for that.

The purposes of the mixer were to:

  1. reconnect students and faculty during challenging times.
  2. allow METRIC students to further connect with each other and remind them of the importance of community.
  3. introduce new personnel to the program.
