Day at the Beach: Engineering Showcase 2026

As part of the campus-wide Day at The Beach, the Hung Family College of Engineering Showcase is a free opportunity for Fall 2026 first-time, first-year and transfer students. For one day only, participants and their families are invited to take an in-depth look at the college. It’s a chance to meet some of the faculty and students, learn more about our degree programs and possibly even tour a couple of our cutting-edge laboratories. This is an open house experience and is not considered an official orientation.
Please RSVP with Day at The Beach to attend the campus-wide event. No additional RSVP is required for the Engineering Showcase.

Students from various Hung Family's COE disciplines will be available at their respective department showcases to share their experiences in engineering and answer questions from prospective students and their families.

Representatives from the Hung Family's COE's First-Year Experience (FYE) Office, along with the Beach Engineering Student Success Team (BESST)/BeachXP, will be available to share information about their programs and resources.
The First-Year Experience (FYE) Office supports first-year and transfer students as they transition into the College of Engineering. Through monthly events and workshops, FYE helps students build community, develop academic and professional skills, and connect with campus resources. Students can also meet with the First-Year Coordinator for personalized guidance and support.
BESST/BeachXP will be highlighting its year-long cohort program, which fosters community and supports students’ academic, developmental, and social success. With more than a decade of impact, many graduates credit this program as a key contributor to their success in engineering. Stop by to learn more about what these programs have to offer and how to get involved!

Representatives from the Engineering Student Success Center (ESSC) Advising Office will be available to share information about academic advising and student support services within the College of Engineering. ESSC advisors assist students with understanding degree requirements, academic planning, registration support, transfer credit review, and progress toward graduation. Stop by to learn how the advising team partners with students to help them navigate their academic journey and stay on track for success.
