Department Chairs Professional Development Sessions 2026-2027
The Faculty Center invites all Department Chairs and Program Heads to Third Thursdays 2026-2027. These are Six 90-minute sessions (12-1:30) featuring a one-hour professional development workshop and informal networking time. Lunch included.

Strategies for a Successful RTP File: A Faculty Center Workshop for RTP Candidates
Workshop for Candidates undergoing reappointment, tenure, and promotion. Will review new university-wide RTP policy, components of the RTP file, suggest best practices in preparation and execution, and answer questions about the RTP process.

Tenure Track Faculty Evaluation 101 Sessions
Candidates undergoing Periodic Mini Evaluation (PME) or preparing a Professional Development Plan (PDP) are encouraged to attend the RTP workshops for candidates. Tenure Track Faculty Evaluation 101 sessions give early career faculty an overview of the RTP evaluation process and are scheduled for:

Faculty Affairs will host workshop sessions and an open lab to discuss range elevation processes for both candidates and evaluators. Workshops will cover:
- Brief review of policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements
- Explanation of the Range Elevation process and timeline
- Review of required documentation for submission
