Interested in a Transformative Internship Experience?

Register for the CLA 492 Sustainability and Environmental Justice Internship! The purpose of this internship is to expose students to the importance of the Green Movement, Environmental Equity, and Sustainability, while simultaneously supporting local organization/campus units with interns. 

Program highlights include:

  • Earn 3 units of Upper Division credit to work with Southern California's Green Sustainability Movement
  • Guaranteed placement in an internship with a cohort of green-minded students
  • Advocate for environmental justice while gaining important career skills
  • Engage in networking opportunities
  • Total of 90 hours over the course of a 15-week semester

PROGRAM DEADLINES

December 1. Contact Dr. Kim Kelly (Kim.Kelly@csulb.edu) to express your interest in the course and SEJI opportunities. 

December 4. Enroll in C/LA 492 on MyCSULB.

December 11. Attend program orientation on Zoom to learn about the class, SEJI Community Partners, and how we will help you secure the internship. 

December 21. Submit resumé for your internship(s) of choice from the list of SEJI Partners. 

December 22-January 4.

January 4-8. Phone or video interview with SEJI Partners.

January 15. Kim Kelly will notify students and Partners of final SEJI placement, based on best Partner and student matches.

January 19. C/LA 492 class starts! Begin your internship!
