Nicollette Brant
Nicollette Brant (she/her/hers), MLIS, is the Business and Economics Librarian at California State University, Long Beach, where she serves as subject liaison to the College of Business and Department of Economics. In this role, she develops and manages library collections that align with the curricular and research needs of business disciplines and economics programs, and designs instructional programs that embed information literacy into the curriculum.
Nicollette’s research interests focus on information literacy pedagogy, its integration into business curricula, and academic libraries, examined through a lens of equity and accessibility. She received CSULB’s President & Provost Initiative: Faculty Research Award in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (FRA-EDI) in 2021 and 2022 for projects on assessing an academic library collection for equity, diversity, and inclusion, and creating a scalable online learning module to address equity gaps in information literacy instruction. In 2024, she was awarded the President & Provost Initiative: Faculty Research Award in Inclusive Excellence to explore neurodiversity-informed services in academic libraries.
