The Women & Careers Symposium has been a signature event for the Women’s and Gender Equity Center and the Career Development Center since 2006. It is an interactive program with career preparation working sessions and networking and discussion opportunities that will increase student engagement and student success by supporting women’s career readiness and confidence.

Navigating the stories we tell ourselves is part of the process in empowering our future. These stories could become excuses that justify inaction or inspirations that propel us to succeed. The 2023 Women & Careers Symposium will aid you to flip the negative narratives to positive and formidable stories through networking, storytelling, discussing time management, and establishing support systems.

The goals of the program include:

  • Envisioning yourself in the future and finding your focus
  • Networking to foster belonging, connections, and relationships
  • Efficiently managing time for success and well-being
  • Learning to establish and maintain a support system
  • Increasing participant's awareness of career services and resources
