The Chronicle: It can always be at your desktop, thanks to the Library

The Chronicle of Higher Education is the number 1 source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators. Based in Washington, D.C., The Chronicle has more than 70 full-time writers and editors, as well as 17 foreign correspondents positioned around the world.

This is a reminder that you can get the latest information from the full text online The Chronicle of Higher Education at your home or office desktop through the University Library website. Here's how:

  • Point your browser to COAST (the library's online catalog)
  • Enter Chronicle of Higher Education in the "new COAST 2.0" search box
  • Click on the first entry; you'll see a list of library databases that include content from The Chronicle; choose the first one ("Single Journals")
  • You'll be taken to an intermediate screen that lists a user name and password; copy them from the screen, then click on the link to enter the online Chronicle site
  • When you select an article or issue to view you'll be prompted once to enter the username and password you copied in the previous step
  • That's it; you now can navigate, read, and print articles from 1995 to date
