OneSearch Software Migration July 28th

Published July 19, 2021

On July 28th, 2021 OneSearch will undergo a software migration. With support from the Council of Library Deans, the 23 CSU libraries have agreed to migrate from Primo, the current software powering OneSearch, to Primo VE. This migration streamlines tasks for library staff and allows for more robust resource sharing between the CSU Libraries in the future.

This migration will largely be unobservable. Though the software packages are distinct, they perform almost identically for users of OneSearch. The URLs of all OneSearch records will change, however our service provider Ex Libris will be instituting indefinite redirects to ensure continuity of any links you may have saved or bookmarked. Saved records in the My Favorites area will be migrated; saved and historical searches will not be migrated. There is no export feature available; so if you required saved or historical searches, you will need to record them manually prior to July 28th and recreate them after the migration.

Questions or comments regarding this migration may be submitted using our Suggestions form.
