Before SOAR:
- Double check your SOAR workshop date via MyCSULB in the admissions section
- Pay for SOAR and other outstanding balances
- Check your student email regularly
- Complete the pre-SOAR Course on Canvas
- Complete the academic advising survey
- Request Disability- Related Accommodations via this form if needed
- Make transportation arrangements – parking is included in your SOAR fee
Getting Ready to Attend SOAR!
- Review your reminder email for details
- Bring a water bottle
- Bring a form of photo ID
- Wear appropriate attire and comfortable shoes
- Remember we have a NO Guest policy – supporters/family should attend Parent & Family Orientation (PFO)
- Check for emails from your Advising Center - you may need to bring a copy of transcripts
After Your SOAR Workshop:
- Submit your vaccine certification form - visit How to Submit Your Vaccine Certification for step-by-step directions
- Pay your fees/tuition - visit Tuition & Fees to learn more
- Get your Beach ID card- submit a photo for your ID card, and pick it up after attending orientation
- Complete your university required trainings via CSU Learn in your SSO

SOAR is a university requirement of all incoming students. It is essential you complete this requirement so you are able to register for your classes.
