Young Scientists Camp
Summer 2022 was a Huge Success!
We recently wrapped up our summer 2022 Young Scientists Camp. This was the first time we could offer the camp since 2019 and it was great to have all the kids back on campus.
We had 234 kids in attendance! In addition to classroom activities, campers got to visit the Marine Lab, Shark Lab, Vertebrate Lab, Bug Lab, Science Learning Center, Japanese Gardens, and the scanning electron microscope on campus.
Young Scientists Camp provides an exciting program that brings students, experienced teachers, future teachers and science specialists together for two weeks of hands-on exploration, discovery, and fun! This is an academically focused, hands-on science camp program hosted on the California State University, Long Beach campus for children entering 2nd-8th grade.
Physical Science for High School Girls
This year we are pleased to offer a physical science program for girls entering 9th-12th grades. This program aims to encourage girls to pursue the physical sciences in high school and beyond.
SEE US Succeed!
We also host SEE US Succeed!, a two-week summer science camp program for Long Beach Unified students experiencing homelessness. Please consider making a donation to support campers for that program.
