Heather Steele Gajewski
Heather Steele Gajewski (pronounced guy-EF-ski) is the University Archivist and Coordinator of Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) at California State University, Long Beach. She supports students and faculty in their research with primary sources, unique collections, and university history by fostering a welcoming, transparent, flexible, and responsive archival environment. Her professional interests include sustainable collection management and improving accessibility in the archives, while maintaining a healthy work–life balance. Outside of work, Heather enjoys crafting, listening to music (with The Cure at the top of her playlist), spending time with her cats, and hanging out with her husband and family.
