CSULB PREM Students Attend National Materials Science Conference
Four California State University, Long Beach students, Brianna Christensen, Anthony Acebal, Emiliano Benitez, and Narith Chan, represented the CSULB Partnership for Research and Education in Materials (PREM) program at the 2026 Conference Across MRSEC-PREM Schools (CAMPS). PREM provided funding to support the students' participation.
CAMPS is a student-led national conference designed to connect students from Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers (MRSECs) and PREM institutions across the United States. The conference brings students, faculty, and industry professionals together to share research, develop professional skills, and build cross-institutional networks.
The 2026 conference was held July 29-31 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Participants attended research presentations, poster sessions, career discussions, networking activities, and other events focused on academic and professional development.
