BeachID Password Changes

Employees are required to reset their BeachID passwords annually in order to meet CSU security requirements and reduce the risk of hackers gaining access to university resources.

The BeachID password is used to access @csulb email, MyCSULB, BeachBoard, campus wireless service, and VPN as well as to log into many campus computers maintained by colleges and campus units, except in the College of Engineering, CCPE, the Foundation, and 49er Shops.

You will begin receiving email messages about 14 days before your password expires informing you that it is time to change it. To change the password, visit the BeachID Account Manager, select Change Password / Security Questions and follow the prompts.

If you do not change your password before it expires, you will not be able to log into applications that use your BeachID password until you reset it. To reset it, call the Technology Help Desk at 5-4959 or visit the BeachID Account Manager page.

Employees who use the CSU Common Financial System (CFS) will continue to reset their password every 90 days after their last password change. If you have any questions, please contact the Technology Help Desk.

Campus Green

California State Long Beach’s Green Campus Program will receive a “Best Practices in Student Energy Efficiency Award” at this month’s California Higher Education Sustainability Conference. This will be CSULB’s third recognition in the eighth annual “Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Best Practice Awards” competition. The award recognizes leadership in student-led projects that promote energy efficiency and conservation. This year’s campaign included the installation of meters that measure temperature and humidity, and sensors that turn off classroom lights not in use.
