The Office of Equity & Compliance
CSULB’s Office of Equity & Compliance (OEC) reviews allegations of Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation as it relates to protected status* as well as Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Harassment, Dating/Domestic Violence, and Stalking at CSULB. Equity & Compliance provides training to campus constituents and manages related Federal and State legal compliance requirements for students, employees, and University third parties.
*Protected statuses include: Age, Disability, Gender, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, Genetic Information, Marital Status, Medical Condition, Nationality, Race or Ethnicity, Religion, Sexual Orientation, and Veteran or Military Status
- OEC’s 24/7 Online Reporting Form: To request support regarding a sexual misconduct or discrimination, harassment, or retaliation matter, please click on the above, yellow “Report” button to access our 24/7 online reporting form.
- Report Forward: Please provide critical information so we might be able to provide helpful outreach to Parties and offer campus rights and resources. Information that will be helpful are: incident details, date & time (approximate), location, contact information for Parties effected, Witnesses, and any relevant documentations (if available - i.e. texts, emails, photos, etc.) Upon receipt of the form, the OEC Team will review this information within 1-2 business days and identify an OEC Manager who will follow up with effected Parties who may need resources.
- Anonymous Complaints: Please Note- Equity & Compliance practices sensitivity and privacy rights regarding student and employees’ information that aligns with CSU policies. Per CSU’s Nondiscrimination Policy, the University may have limited capability to take further or full action if key information is missing, unavailable, or if the Complaining Party requests anonymity and/or does not wish to move forward with a complaint. Equity & Compliance will make every good faith effort available to provide Parties with appropriate support, information, and reasonable action based on available information.
- Request a Training: OEC provides educational workshops for faculty, staff, and students. Workshops may range from 30-90 minutes. Please email OEC@csulb.edu the required information to request training (i.e., contact information, requested training date/time, length of training, number of participants, location, and Zoom or in-person). An OEC Team member will get back to you in 2-3 business days with follow-up information.
- Please Note: OEC needs 1-2 weeks advance notice to prepare educational materials and ensure an OEC Team member is available to provide this program. The OEC Team will come in with a laptop, Power Point slide deck, and training materials. We request that the host provide the training location, LCD projector/screen, audio equipment, and the training audience.
