The Hung Family College of Engineering* at California State University, Long Beach is proud to welcome you to the fourth annual 2026 Senior Design Project Expo!

With each passing year, this Expo continues to grow as a defining tradition for our college. What began as a celebration of student achievement has evolved into a vibrant showcase of innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact across engineering, construction management, engineering technology, and computer science.

Project-based learning is a tenet of our programs, and the Senior Design Project is the culmination of an undergraduate program of study. As you explore the projects on display, you will see how our students are not only meeting today’s challenges, but anticipating tomorrow’s. They have applied their knowledge to complex, real-world problems, developing solutions that are thoughtful, practical, and forward-thinking.

I encourage you to take time to connect with our students. Ask questions, exchange ideas, and share your expertise. Your engagement plays an essential role in their development and helps strengthen the meaningful partnership between our university and the broader professional community.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Emel Demircan, our department chairs, and senior design faculty for their leadership and dedication in bringing this event to life. I also wish to thank our Corporate Affiliates and industry partners whose continued support provides invaluable opportunities and resources for our students.

Thank you for joining us in celebrating the achievements of our graduating seniors. I hope you leave inspired by their ingenuity, determination, and potential to shape the future.

Go BEACH!
