Getting involved in Model U.N. is a great way for students to be get involved in their campus community and engage in contentious and thrilling debate. There are a variety of interests and majors which touch on the topics involved in MUN and there truly is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are looking to make friends, enhance your public speaking skills, or contribute to intellectually stimulating conversation, Model U.N. can serve as a great asset to you.

Model U.N. no doubt serves as a great resource for many walks of life. Throughout their time in Model U.N. students enhance their public speaking skills and knowledge of international issues and policy. Remaining informed on such topics can aid you in numerous and unconventional ways. Beyond that, Model U.N. contributes towards student’s resumes and can even serve as a networking opportunity. Further, it can instill a sense of philosophical purpose, as, on occasion, the United Nations will seek guidance from Model U.N. solutions and debate. Model U.N. offers versatile benefits in which every person can find value in. 


 

A portion of the CSULB Model United Nations Program is supported by CSU Long Beach Instructionally-related Activity (IRA) Funds. However, as the number of students involved in the MUN Program has grown, so too, have the costs incurred to provide a full MUN experience. Outside donations are gratefully accepted and may present tax advantages to the donors. But in a larger sense, a donation to the MUN is a way for people to contribute to the next generation's world leaders who are being trained today in the knowledge and skills those leaders are going to use to solve tomorrow's problems.
