- Developing writing, visual communication and digital media skills, applying ethical principles and utilizing innovative technologies are at the core of educational experiences in the department.
- Diversity is a necessity in journalism and public relations classrooms and professions. Respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives is demonstrated by opportunity, inclusivity and representation.
- Critical thinking and media literacy skills are essential to adaptable and ethical professional practice and responsible, engaged and informed citizenship in the 21st century.
