Anderson Group Public Relations: The Anderson Group Public Relations Fall 2025 Internship is an in-person, unpaid opportunity based in West Hollywood for students seeking school credit. Interns will work closely with PR teams to support outreach to influencers and content creators, assist with event and photoshoot logistics, research publications, pitch clients for A-list events, and maintain digital press kits. Ideal candidates are organized, outgoing, proactive, and passionate about social media, entertainment, and influencer culture. The internship requires a commitment of 2 full days per week for 3–4 months, and interns must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment—with small office dogs present. No prior experience is necessary, and interns will receive hands-on training and mentorship throughout the program. Apply through Indeed.

Beachcomber News: The Beachcomber seeks applicants for journalism internships. Typical intern responsibilities include contributing at least one feature story of at least 600 words per issue of the bi-weekly newspaper; creating a feature story based on a half-hour recording of a luncheon speaker at Long Beach Rotary; taking photographs to accompany news stories; and proofreading and editing content. Claims Journal and Insurance Journal: Two insurance-business news media outlets are seeking business reporting interns.  The interns work remotely to support newsgathering while learning about business reporting from experienced editors. Interns will write assigned briefs, as well as interview subject-matter experts and executives for deadline and enterprise articles. Work hours are flexible. Students who have some familiarity with AP style and have completed at least one basic news writing course are strongly preferred. Dietch: The Dietch PR Internship offers hands-on experience in fashion and lifestyle public relations at a boutique agency in Los Angeles’ Arts District. Interns assist the CEO and publicists with daily tasks including showroom upkeep, influencer outreach, media list updates, social media engagement, editorial pulls, and client research. Ideal candidates are highly organized, familiar with fashion trends and influencers, strong communicators, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment. Photoshop and InDesign skills are a plus, and access to a car is required. Apply through Indeed.

DÔEN: The DÔEN PR Internship is a paid, five-month, in-person opportunity based at the brand’s headquarters in Van Nuys, CA. Interns will work three days per week, supporting the PR and Communications teams with responsibilities including monitoring digital press and social media coverage, researching influencers, compiling campaign reports, organizing product gifting programs, updating press contact lists, and assisting with event planning. Ideal candidates are proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and strong communicators with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Girls’ Life Magazine: Girls’ Life is offering a remote or hybrid internship ideal for high school and college students passionate about writing, fashion, beauty, and pop culture. Interns work 10–15 hours per week supporting editorial and creative teams by writing articles, brainstorming content, assisting with social media, and helping with daily operations. This unpaid internship offers the option for school credit and valuable hands-on experience in digital media. Ideal candidates are strong writers, organized, proactive, and social media savvy, with a strong interest in youth culture. Highland Film Group: Based in Los Angeles and following a hybrid schedule (1–2 in-office days per week), the position provides an immersive look into the operations of Highland Film Group and The Avenue. Interns will support a range of marketing and distribution activities, including campaign strategy, content creation, and event coordination. Responsibilities include developing marketing materials (trailers, posters, social assets), updating release schedules, conducting industry research, participating in virtual press days and film markets, and assisting with social media efforts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, while experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Mailchimp is a plus. A strong interest in film and a detail-oriented mindset are essential. The Islamic Center of Irvine: The ICOI is offering hybrid Social Media Marketing internships for Fall semester. Interns will focus on content creation, digital marketing, and outreach communications. The role is primarily remote with occasional in-person work. Ideal candidates have access to a reliable laptop and Wi-Fi, and experience with Canva, Google Workspace, and social media is a major plus. Multiple positions are available. Kidsave:  Kidsave is seeking motivated, dependable, and conscientious self-starters who are interested in pursuing a career in communications and marketing, particularly in the non-profit world. This intern will work directly with the Communications and Development team on advocacy and media projects. The goal of Kidsave is to inspire governments, communities and individuals to find and provide families and permanent connections for orphans around the world.  This is a six-month internship, with a monthly stipend possible. Kids Sports News Network: KSNN is a national youth sports broadcast network looking for a youth sports journalist intern. Your task would be to research, document, write, and present national youth sports news stories in an honest, ethical, and unbiased way. Besides the pressures of working on deadlines and getting stories out ahead of the competition, your stories must be balanced, giving all parties a chance to have their say. Los Angeles magazine: Los Angeles magazine is looking for detail-oriented, thorough, resourceful, intuitive, and determined self-starter students with excellent communication skills to intern in its editorial department. Responsibilities include fact-checking, conducting research, and submitting story ideas with the possibility of writing them. Fact-checking is not always as easy as it sounds. You may need to contact the celebrity of the moment or outwit a word-savvy politician. In researching subjects, you’d work directly with writers and editors in putting stories together (which may include doing some reporting). Orange Coast magazine: Orange Coast has been the magazine of Orange County for nearly 50 years, providing readers with a lively, humorous, insightful, and credible regional publication. The company’s award-winning editorial internship program, overseen by Senior Editor Astgik Khatchatryan, provides college students instruction in fact-checking, magazine writing and critical thinking. Interns should be prepared to commit 10 to 15 hours a week for at least 12 weeks to this remote internship. Segerstrom Center for the Arts: This world-class performing arts center in Costa Mesa has launched applications for paid academic internships for fall 2025. Opportunities include internships in community engagement, digital marketing, general marketing, graphic design, public relations, and social media. These internships are for 120 hours over 12 weeks and pay $16.50 per hour. SiriusXM: The SiriusXM | Team Coco Creative Marketing Internship offers hands-on experience supporting the social media, marketing, and merchandise teams of Conan O’Brien’s digital media brand. Interns assist with tracking social media campaigns, identifying trends, creating content captions, managing merch inventory, and supporting live and virtual events. Ideal candidates are current students or recent grads with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, and a passion for podcasts and comedy. Basic skills in Photoshop, Canva, or video editing tools are a plus. This in-person internship is based in Los Angeles. Apply through the SiriusXM careers portal.

StandUp for Kids: StandUp for Kids – Orange County offers a hybrid, unpaid Public Relations Internship focused on supporting efforts to end youth homelessness. Interns will work 8–10 hours per week for 3–6 months, contributing to media relations by developing PR plans, writing press releases, pitching stories, building media lists, and supporting events. The role includes training in press material formatting, media outreach, and sponsor engagement. Swing Strategies: The Swing Strategies Fellowship in Irvine is a paid, in-person opportunity for Fall 2025 that offers hands-on experience in issue advocacy, grassroots outreach, public affairs, and political communications. Fellows will assist with research, coalition building, writing press releases and op-eds, and creating social media content. Ideal candidates have strong writing and grammar skills, an interest in politics and current events, and prior experience in government or political internships. Teach For America: Teach For America’s Fall 2025 Campus Ambassador Internship is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduates interested in social impact, marketing, and recruitment. Ambassadors help build TFA’s brand on campus through marketing campaigns, event planning, networking, and presentations. Applicants should have strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills and a passion for educational equity. The role requires 5–10 hours per week and pays minimum wage. Candidates must be current undergraduates and interested in TFA as a post-grad path. Interns will support clients working at the intersection of education, policy, philanthropy, and business, contributing to media relations, content creation, and strategic communications. Interns must be sophomores or higher, enrolled in an accredited college, and able to work on-site in Los Angeles. Interns will assist with research, reporting, general office tasks, and may collaborate on projects with other interns. The program is designed to help students build practical experience and broaden their understanding of audio media. Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office and social media, and able to work independently and efficiently. MLive: MLive is seeking a Reddit-savvy intern to help grow and shape its presence on Reddit. This remote, paid internship runs 15–20 hours per week at $15/hour and offers the opportunity to engage with online communities while supporting local journalism in Michigan. The intern will be responsible for monitoring and contributing to relevant subreddits, posting thoughtful and journalism-aligned comments and discussions, and identifying Reddit trends and user questions that can inform reporting.
