Staff Discount for Summer Sessions Courses
The College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) is offering a 50 percent discount on Summer Sessions courses for all current CSULB and Foundation staff. This discount can be applied to multiple courses.
You may register for classes either online or in person. To receive the staff discount you must go in person to the CCPE Customer Service Center windows located at the west end of the Foundation Building and turn in the staff discount application. President’s Commission on the Status of Women Holding Elections
New Deadline: April 10, 2012
The President’s Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) will hold elections in April to add one staff member, one HEERA (Higher Employer/Employee Relations Act) administrator, one lecturer and one tenured/tenure-track faculty to the Commission. The term of office for each category is three years (September 2012 through May 2015), and meetings are from 10 am to noon on the second Friday of the month during the academic year. PCSW’s mission is to ensure the University responds to the needs of women by removing inequities and by providing a supportive educational, working and social environment for all members of the campus community. Candidates are requested to complete and submit the Candidate Election Form to Betsy Decyk via Betsy.Decyk@csulb.edu, fax (562 985-9100) or in person at the Office of University Ombuds (Foundation Building, Suite 140).
Campus Green
Don’t forget the upcoming “Office Products Swap Meet” hosted by Purchasing and Financial Services, and Support Services. It will be held Wednesday, April 18 from 11 am to 2 pm in the USU ballrooms. Here’s how to participate:
- Collect your surplus office supply items in boxes
- Contact Support Services at ext 5-8119 or receiving@csulb.edu
- Your items will be picked up on Fridays through April 13
On the day of the event your items, along with items from other departments, will be available at no charge to faculty and staff for use on campus. Items not swapped will be donated to a local school. Office Max suppliers will be there to introduce sustainable products, as will various green campus organizations. Bring an empty plastic drink bottle and receive a free pen! Reusable shopping bags will be provided compliments of Office Max.
