Who we are
The LB Current is the award-winning, independent student newspaper of Long Beach State University and has been published on campus since the school opened in 1949. Through its website, social media and print publication, it is the best source for students, faculty and staff to stay informed about breaking news stories, campus events and other important matters at the university and around the city. The LB Current covers news, politics, arts and entertainment and sports and regularly publishes op-ed pieces and columns looking at the issues that most affect students and the campus community.
