Internship Opportunities

The Department of Journalism & Public Relations shares internship opportunities through Cal State S4. After enrolling in Journalism 498, students receive instructions for accessing S4 through the university’s Single Sign On (SSO) system and searching for internship opportunities. Instructors also may short brief descriptions of available internships on the course’s Canvas site.

Students who secure internships independently must submit an internship proposal through S4. The department’s internship program director reviews each proposal to ensure that the internship meets academic requirements. The director also works with the host organization to ensure its representatives complete required forms and reviews.
