UPDATE 5/15/16: The spring 2026 semester has ended and departmental advising will be on hiatus until early June. Summer drop-in advising via Zoom will start on Wednesday, June 10 and adhere to the schedule below. If you’re in the waiting room, it means the advisor is meeting with another student and they will let you in when it is your turn.

For students who would like more information about JPR’s internship class requirement, see the JPR Internship website and/or plan to meet with JOUR 498: Internship instructor of record Professor Todd Henneman during his drop-in office hours, per his availability below.

NOTE: Advising is for current, matriculated CSULB students ONLY. Community college and high school students looking for more information about the department can learn more on the JPR website and they can follow us on Instagram. Meanwhile, the best place for information on how to apply to CSULB is the admissions website. Returning JPR students who broke enrollment and are ready to finish may request a meeting with Professor Fleming through the process above after they have completed applicable readmission steps.
