Financial Aid Appeals

2022-2023 Eligibility for Appeal:
CSULB recognizes that many of our students and their families have been affected by the global pandemic. We want to make sure that you know what to do if your family is experiencing financial loss due to COVID-19 or any other reason that has negatively affected your family's circumstances.

As a reminder, your 2022-2023 financial aid application, whether the FAFSA or Dream Act Application, was completed based upon 2020 income information. If you or your parents experienced a significant change in circumstances, we may be able to assist.

Submission of an appeal request does not guarantee approval. Please allow a minimum of 6-8 weeks (potentially up to 12 weeks in the summertime due to volumne) for review and processing.

All appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions or are unsure if an appeal might be right for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Financial Aid Office for support.
