Welcome Dr. Yutong Zhao to CECS!

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Yutong Zhao as an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering and Computer Science at CSULB, starting Fall 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Software Engineering and M.Sc. in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Missouri.

Dr. Zhao’s research focuses on Software Engineering, Performance Analysis, Machine and Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing. In 2025, he received the prestigious NSF CRII Award for his project on developing a unified LLM-empowered framework for software performance testing, localization, and optimization
