Student Engagement Through Collaboration

Dream, Become, Succeed

In 2016 – 2017 the Career Development Center team began the process of reimagining how our students are introduced to their career education and job search process. After listening to our students, faculty, staff and community partners, we embarked on a planning process to examine our approach and practice of delivering career education. This process has resulted in the development of the new Career Success Model specifically designed to help students discover their DREAM career, assist them to BECOME career ready, and SUCCEED in landing an internship and/or career employment. We believe this new approach in partnership with the campus community better supports the campus’ strategic priorities of Intellectual Achievement, Inclusive Excellence, and Public Good, as well as the campus’ Graduation Initiative, Student Engagement, Staff Success, External Support and Community Relations goals.

This 2017 – 2018 annual report is a snapshot of our story of reenvisioning career services and will become the foundation for us to continue to grow and improve career education in the years to come. We are now poised to better support students as they pursue their careers and livelihood. We are proud of the work we have accomplished and are excited to share our annual report. Our results showcase the strength of our partnership with the university and workforce community. There is still a great deal of work ahead, and we look forward to continued collaboration, evolution and excellence in providing career education to our students.
