Shark Lab

Shark Lab

The mission of the Shark Lab is to study the physiological and behavioral ecology of marine animals, emphasizing the effect of human activity on the ocean; to utilize and develop innovative technology to answer challenging questions important for the conservation and restoration of depleted populations; and to train the next generation of marine biologists.

Call for Volunteers

We are calling on volunteers to take a Perceptions of Wildlife and Beach Safety survey that we will use in a research study. The purpose of this research is to establish how people feel about certain wildlife species, and to determine how people understand factors relating to their safety at the beach. It is expected that the survey will take no more than 45 minutes to complete.

Questions about this study should be directed to Dr. Gabriella Hancock at
