Brian Jersky, Provost and Senior Vice President at CSULB, will be retiring. President Conoley shared, "His commitments to shared governance and student success have made us a much better university. I know I will miss his wise counsel as well as his wry sense of humor." Learn more about the provost here.

Join the Carpenter Center for a conversation with civil rights attorney Ben Crump. Speaker Ben Crump is a foremost civil rights attorney, representing numerous families in high-profile civil rights cases including George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmed Arbery, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Stephon Clark; as well as the residents of Flint, Michigan affected by the poisoned water of the Flint River. This Voices for Justice: Equity & Arts event will be on Wednesday, March 24 at 5:00 p.m. Register online for free.

Faculty are now able to access their offices on campus by registering through the Faculty Office Request System available in Single Sign-On. As with many current openings, this is subject to change due to ongoing and ever-changing COVID-19 regulations.

Faculty can utilize Zoom Rooms, or Hyflex classrooms, on campus to teach. As we continue with alternative modes of instruction (AMI), safety is the top priority so access to these rooms will be limited. Please contact your department chair or college dean with your request. Technical assistance will be provided by the ATS Classroom Support team.

Faculty and Staff FERPA Guidelines: The posting of grades must be in accordance with campus and security policies. Please ensure compliance regarding final grade policies via the Faculty Center How to Submit Final Grades guide.

In Memoriam
Wendy Griffin, a former Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies Department Chair passed away. She played a significant role in the history of WGSS at CSULB.
Don A. Beegle, Emeriti Professor of Health Science, passed away. He will be remembered for his love of improving the lives of his students and those around him.
Jim Day, an Emeriti Faculty in the English Department, has passed away. He will be greatly missed.
Ronald L. Scott, retired Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, has passed away. He will be remembered for his love of teaching.
Robert J. De Voe, an Emeriti Faculty, has passed away. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Edward Karabenic, a retired faculty member from the Department of Geography, has passed away. His passion for teaching and supporting students will be remembered.
