Virtual Nutrition Town Hall

CHHS Town Halls are a great way to connect and learn about timely health and wellness topics that impact the Beach community. Here’s what our panel of health and wellness experts will be talking with you about this time: 

  • Dr. Libby Gustin, Hospitality Management: Home-made salad dressings vs store-bought salad dressings 
  • Dr. Michelle Barrack, Nutrition and Dietetics: Her research findings on a food-first approach to dietary supplements
  • Gloria Flores, CAPS: A new way to connect with other students for emotional support and mental health resources.

All CSULB students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend and participate.

- Full Professor for the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

- Ph.D. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, MBA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and Bachelors of Science in Restaurant and Hospitality Management from the University of Alabama.

- Teaches how to access, store, and prepare nutrient-dense, sustainable food. 

- Research interests: Sustainable Food Systems, Barriers to Culinary Habits and Food choice, Sustainable Diet, and Food Security.
