Special Olympics Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10

For the nineteenth year our campus will host Special Olympics Southern California Summer Games on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10. Please note that setup begins Monday, June 4. The following parking lots will be closed:

Lot G9: June 4 – 11
Lot G5: June 4 – 11
Lot E3: June 7 – 11
Lot E4: June 7 – 11

CSULB Parking Fee Increase (July 1, 2018)

Select CSULB parking permit fees will increase as scheduled on July 1, 2018. There is no fee increase for employees in bargaining units. This increase is designed to support and maintain current parking programs. Earl Warren Drive Road Closure
Monday, June 11, 2018 through Friday, June 15, 2018

Earl Warren Drive will be closed to through traffic to facilitate road construction related to the Parking Lot G4 Renovation Project. This closure will occur starting Monday, June 11th through Friday, June 15th. The closed section will stretch from Parking Lot G2 at the south, past the Japanese Garden to Parking Lot R2 at the north. U-turns or left turns at the barricades will be permitted. Signage will be placed notifying traffic of the closure.

Summer Construction and Parking Projects

This summer will be extremely busy with many constructions projects underway. Unavoidably, there will be effects on parking, traffic, and pedestrian routes. Please use this information to plan your routes to and from campus in a way that minimizes disruptions to your commute.

Many parking lots, buildings, walkways, and common areas will be affected by the construction. Projects will be completed in phases so as to minimize the effects to a particular area. Communications will be sent as projects progress and major closures are scheduled. The Design and Construction Services website will be maintained to include up-to-date information that can be referenced as needed by faculty, staff and students for major construction activities.

Additional disabled parking spaces and accessible paths of travel will be temporarily added to select areas that will remain open during construction. If you know you will need a reasonable accommodation based on a disability or medical restriction, please immediately contact the University resources below for assistance and support.
