Fraternities And Sororities At The Beach
General Information
What is a Council?
In order to be a fully recognized and active chapter at CSULB, each individual chapter must be recognized under one of four governing councils. Lead by executive boards consisting of chapter leaders within their respective councils, each council serves as an umbrella organization assisting and supporting their member chapters.
Who can I contact regarding each council?
- Cultural Greek Council:
The Cultural Greek Council is the governing council of our culturally-based organizations including historically Latino/Latina, Asian American, and LGBTQ + sororities and fraternities. Although these organizations are cultural or identity-based, they are not identity-exclusive. The council strives to create and maintain an all-inclusive and culturally diverse environment, by fostering cultural awareness and upholding fraternal and sorority values.
President: To be elected in the start of Fall 2020

- Interfraternity Council
CSULB's Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the social fraternities on campus and is comprised of representatives from each of its member organizations. IFC includes 11 chapters affiliated with the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). The executive board works year-round to provide an enriching collegiate experience through different member development programming and collaborate efforts with chapter leadership.

The collective social and economic power of the NPHC has been a major source of change for the African-American community in America since its inception.

- Panhellenic Council
The Panhellenic Council is the governing body of our 8 social sororities affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). The executive board works year-round to promote unity within the sororities through weekly delegation, frequent events for the whole PHC community, and member development opportunities.
