Financial Aid

Undocumented students, including AB 540/SB68 students are NOT eligible to apply for federal financial aid. However, with the passage of AB 130 and AB 131, state financial aid and scholarships administered by the colleges and universities are now available for eligible AB 540/SB 68 students. Making An Appointment

You can use Beach Connect to meet with a counselor from the Financial Aid office who has been designated to assist Dream Success Center Students. To book an appointment with Beach Connect Counselor, sign into your SSO and choose “Beach Connect.”

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The FAFSA is for federal financial aid which undocumented students are not eligible for. Instead of competing the FAFSA, undocumented students should apply for state financial aid through the DREAM application by the March 2nd deadline. Yes! We strongly encourage undocumented students to apply for scholarships. CSULB has a center dedicated to assisting students with their scholarship search. For more information on scholarships available to students, visit the Center for Scholarship Information.

CSULB is a partner college with TheDream.US scholarship. This is a national scholarship fund that provides eligible, first-time college student with up to $29,000 in funding toward tuition, fees, books, supplies, and transportation costs. The scholarship is renewable for up to five years, or until you have received the full $29,000 award. For more information on eligibility and to apply, please visit TheDream.US.
