Program Changes - Fall Semester 2021

Below are all the latest parking changes for Fall Semester 2021.

Long Beach Transit (LBT) has resumed fare collection.

If you would like to try commuting to campus via bus, you can find your best route by visiting moovitapp.com. You can also download the app directly for your Apple or Android device.

CSULB students can now purchase the 150-day Go Beach! pass for $100 dollars (normally $200 for students/$325 for employees). There is also a 30-day Go Beach! pass for $40. Full info is available on our Bus webpage.

There are 48 new priority parking spaces created specifically for Clean Air Vehicles (electric, plug-in electric, hydrogen fuel cell, and CNG vehicles).

Spaces are reserved from 6-10 am in Lot G1 (32 spaces) and all day for employees in Lot E2 (16 spaces). Full info can be found at Clean Air Vehicle Spaces.

To provide greater flexibility, a monthly permit option is again available at $45/month. Monthly, fall semester and academic year permits are on sale now via the Parking Portal. Please remember that if you decide to park on campus, some form of paid parking is required (short-term, daily, monthly, semester, or academic year).

Important Note: Daily permits are only valid in the lot purchased.

Given that transportation-related emissions contribute so significantly to the climate crisis we are facing, we want to encourage you to consider choosing the most sustainable commute mode feasible for you to travel to campus, even if only on one day a week.

Campus shuttle service resumed this fall, in a modified capacity to match the reduced student activity anticipated on campus. The All Campus Tripper and Beachside shuttle routes will be in service. To view shuttle schedules and get real-time shuttle tracking, download the Ride Systems App today for your Android or Apple device.

Additional schedule info can be found on our Shuttles webpage.

Your favorite "blue bikes” from Long Beach Bike Share have returned to the 8 different hubs on campus this fall.

To sign up for a discounted student or staff membership of $7.50/month, which includes 90 min/day, please visit our Bike page.

Zipcars have also returned to campus this fall.

Zipcars are a great alternative to traditional vehicle ownership, which costs, on average, over $9,500/year according to AAA. Zipcars can help you save money and are available to rent either by the hour or by the day. Gas, insurance, parking fee, and maintenance are all included in the price. More info at Zipcar.

Daily permit purchases can now be made via your mobile device.

Make your contactless purchase remotely via the ParkMobile App, now available in all lots on campus where daily permits are available. Download the app and click on the map to see the appropriate zone number for your chosen parking lot. More info at ParkMobile FAQ.

Important Note: Daily permits are only valid in the lot purchased.
