Dear Valued Patrons and Supporters of the CSULB College of the Arts:
The health and safety of our community, our campus, and our visitors are of paramount importance to our college and university leadership, faculty, and staff. As news and information about the novel coronavirus and COVID-19 – the respiratory infection caused by the virus – continues to develop, we wanted to update you on how our college is currently addressing those concerns in regards to our numerous public events.
Out of an abundance of caution, and to assist with the state-wide recommendations for social distancing, our performance, exhibition, and public event calendar has been adjusted in the following ways:
- The Bob Cole Conservatory of Music has suspended ticket sales for all performances, and has announced the cancellation of all large ensemble performances through March, along with the cancellation of select performances in April
- For the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center, please visit their information page: CarpenterArts.org/Alert
Our ticket exchange/refund policies have been relaxed in response to current events. Please contact our Ticket Service Office at tickets@calrep.org for Theatre Arts/California Repertory Company performances or cota-cpac@csulb.edu for all other College of the Arts performances.
University and college leadership continues to evaluate the situation as it evolves on a daily basis and the university is in regular communication with our local government offices. Should there be any changes to our schedules and our status, we will keep you informed. We value and appreciate your support and patronage, and your love for the arts. And we are grateful for your patience and understanding as we navigate through these challenges together.
For complete information on the University response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), please see csulb.edu/covid-19
