Dia de Muertos/Day of the Dead
Tuesday, October 28th from 11am-4:30pm at the Anatol Center (AS-119)
Join us for a full day of honoring this important cultural tradition of honoring our loved ones who have passed. Throughout the day you can visit altars from students and groups and watch performances, documentaries and special presentations. Free and open to all.

11am Procession with Danza Azteca Xochipilli (South campus Quad –start by CLA Dean’s office)
11:30am Welcome

12:00pm Performance: Mariachi Romanza
1:00pm Day of the Dead Presentation with Dr. Gabriel Estrada
2:00pm Day of the Dead Creative Writing Workshop with Dr. Christopher Rosales
2:30pm Palabra / Poetry Share and Open Mic
3:00pm Calavera Piñata Workshop with CSULB MFA students Cindy Rocha and Sydney Sanchez
4:00pm Performance: Grupo Folklorico Mexica de CSULB
Various films will be shared throughout the area and day as well as an exhibition of student creations including art, digital ofrendas, and more.
Pan dulce and coffee are also available while supplies last.
