The Council on Undergraduate Research sponsors an annual student conference (NCUR) dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity in all fields of study. CSULB was selected as the host site for the 2021 conference following a highly competitive selection process.

Through this annual conference, students will experience

  • a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement
  • models of exemplary research and scholarship
  • student research networking on a national scale

CSULB will partner with CSU Fullerton, Dominguez Hills, Los Angeles, Northridge, and Cal Poly Pomona for this very special event. Students from across these institutions will have the opportunity to participate.

The conference will attract up to 4,000 students from across the US and provide students the opportunity to present both oral and poster presentations in a wide range of academic areas. There will also be student visual arts exhibitions and performances; plenary sessions by noted experts in their fields of research; a student research demonstration fair, graduate school fair and much more.

Benefits to CSULB students will include exposure to research on a national scale as presenters, attendees, and students, as well as have the opportunity to network among their peers. This event also provides CSULB with recognition as a research institution on a national scale.
